           Andwhentheafternoonwasnearlygone,andstilltherewasnosignofrain,wetriedtocheerourselvesupwiththeideathatitwouldcomedownallatonce,justasthepeoplehadstartedforhome,andwereoutofthereachofanyshelter,andthattheywouldthusgetmoredrenchedthanever. Butnotadropeverfell,anditfinishedagrandday,andalovelynightafterit.
