Thoughthegrizzledoldfellowcouldseeonlyononeside,againsttheyouthandvigouroftheotherhebroughtintoplaythewisdomoflongyearsofexperience. Hislosteyeandhisscarredmuzzleboreevidencetothenatureofhisexperience. Hehadsurvivedtoomanybattlestobeindoubtforamomentaboutwhattodo.
