Itwasoneofthesesecludedspotsthatmaybefoundonthebusysea,asonlandyoucomesometimesupontheclusteredhousesofahamletuntouchedbymen’srestlessness,untouchedbytheirneed,bytheirthought,andasifforgottenbytimeitself.Thelivesofuncountedgenerationshadpasseditby,andthemultitudesofseafowl,urgingtheirwayfromallthepointsofthehorizontosleepontheouterrocksofthegroup,unrolledtheconvergingevolutionsoftheirflightinlongsomberstreamersupontheglowofthesky.
