           "Icarelittleaboutdress,"saidtheshaggyman,indifferently.

           "SoIshouldimagine,"repliedtheEmperor,withtruepoliteness.

           Theywereshowntotheirroomsandpermittedtomakesuchtoiletsastheycould,andsoontheyassembledagaininthegrandtindining-hall,evenTotobeingpresent.FortheEmperorwasfondofDorothy’slittledog,andthegirlexplainedtoherfriendsthatinOzallanimalsweretreatedwithasmuchconsiderationasthepeople—"iftheybehavethemselves,"sheadded.

           Totobehavedhimself,andsatinatinhigh-chairbesideDorothyandatehisdinnerfromatinplatter.
