           Outsidetherewasasoundofhoofsandvoices.Moreguestshadarrived.Thedruggist,seizedwithconfusion,terrifiedlesthehadputonhisglovestoosoon,thrusthishandsintohispockets.ItwasCutter,MagnusDerrick’sdivisionsuperintendent,whocame,bringinghiswifeandhertwogirlcousins.
