           Themusiciansarrived,theCityBandofBonneville—Annixterhavingmanagedtooffendtheleaderofthe“Dirigo”Cluborchestra,attheverylastmoment,tosuchapointthathehadrefusedhisservices.ThesemembersoftheCityBandrepairedatoncetotheirplatforminthecorner.Ateveryinstanttheylaugheduproariouslyamongthemselves,joshingoneoftheirnumber,aFrenchman,whomtheycalled“Skeezicks.”Theirhilarityreverberatedinahollow,metallicrollamongtheraftersoverhead.ThedruggistobservedtoyoungVaccaashepassedbythathethoughtthemprettyfresh,justthesame.
