Duringoneofherplayhoursshewroteouttheimportantdocumentaswellasshecould,withsomehelpfromEstherastocertainlegalterms,andwhenthegood-naturedFrenchwomanhadsignedhername,AmyfeltrelievedandlaiditbytoshowLaurie,whomshewantedasasecondwitness.Asitwasarainyday,shewentupstairstoamuseherselfinoneofthelargechambers,andtookPollywithherforcompany.
