Answer.—Yes;provideditpossessaninitialvelocityof1,200yardspersecond;calculationsprovethattobesufficient.Inproportionaswerecedefromtheearththeactionofgravitationdiminishesintheinverseratioofthesquareofthedistance;thatistosay,atthreetimesagivendistancetheactionisninetimesless.
