           Weknownotwhatthispowerisnorwhenceitcomes.Butweknowitsnature,wehavewatcheditandworkedwithit.Wesawitfirsttwoyearsago.Onenight,wewerecuttingopenthebodyofadeadfrogwhenwesawitslegjerking.Itwasdead,yetitmoved.Somepowerunknowntomenwasmakingitmove.Wecouldnotunderstandit.Then,aftermanytests,wefoundtheanswer.Thefroghadbeenhangingonawireofcopper;andithadbeenthemetalofourknifewhichhadsentthestrangepowertothecopperthroughthebrineofthefrog’sbody.Weputapieceofcopperandapieceofzincintoajarofbrine,wetouchedawiretothem,andthere,underourfingers,wasamiraclewhichhadneveroccurredbefore,anewmiracleandanewpower.

           Thisdiscoveryhauntedus.Wefolloweditinpreferencetoallourstudies.Weworkedwithit,wetesteditinmorewaysthanwecandescribe,andeachstepwasasanothermiracleunveilingbeforeus.Wecametoknowthatwehadfoundthegreatestpoweronearth.Foritdefiesallthelawsknowntomen.
