           "‘Teresa,whatwereyouthinkingofasyoudancedoppositetheyoungCountessofSan–Felice?’‘Ithought,’repliedtheyounggirl,withallthefranknessofhernature,‘thatIwouldgivehalfmylifeforacostumesuchasshewore.’
