           Caderoussewasequallyrestlessanduneasy,butinsteadofseeking,likeM.Morrel,toaidDantes,hehadshuthimselfupwithtwobottlesofblackcurrantbrandy,inthehopeofdrowningreflection.Buthedidnotsucceed,andbecametoointoxicatedtofetchanymoredrink,andyetnotsointoxicatedastoforgetwhathadhappened
