Thewildboarwill,butthehuntingtribesdonot. Besides,themonkeyslivedthereasmuchastheycouldbesaidtoliveanywhere,andnoself-respectinganimalwouldcomewithineyeshotofitexceptintimesofdrought,whenthehalf-ruinedtanksandreservoirsheldalittlewater.
"Itishalfanight’sjourney—atfullspeed,"saidBagheera,andBaloolookedveryserious. "IwillgoasfastasIcan,"hesaidanxiously.
