           Afterwardtheysatdowntoasplendidfeast,andOzmaputDorothyatherrightandBillinaatherleft,wherethehensatuponagoldenroostandatefromajeweledplatter.ThenwereplacedtheScarecrow,theTinWoodmanandTiktok,withbasketsoflovelyflowersbeforethem,becausetheydidnotrequirefood.Thetwenty-sixofficerswereatthelowerendofthetable,andtheLionandtheTigeralsohadseats,andwereservedongoldenplatters,thatheldahalfabushelatonetime.

           ThewealthiestandmostimportantcitizensoftheEmeraldCitywereproudtowaituponthesefamousadventurers,andtheywereassistedbyasprightlylittlemaidnamedJelliaJamb,whomtheScarecrowpincheduponherrosycheeksandseemedtoknowverywell.
