Dorothylookedathimcuriously.Hisclotheswereshaggy,hisbootswereshaggyandfullofholes,andhishairandwhiskerswereshaggy.Buthissmilewassweetandhiseyeswerekind.

"Becauseamanlivestherewhoowesmefifteencents,andifIwenttoButterfieldandhesawmehe’dwanttopaymethemoney.Idon’twantmoney,mydear."
