           Mrs.Leath,onthisoccasion,wasnolesskindthanbefore;butshecontrivedtomakehimunderstandthatwhatwassoinevitablycomingwasnottocometoosoon.Itwasnotthatsheshowedanyhesitationastotheissue,butratherthatsheseemedtowishnottomissanystageinthegradualrefloweringoftheirintimacy.
