Inthisspirithebegantheattack,andbyanimatedperseverancehadsoonre-establishedthesortoffamiliarintercourse,ofgallantry,offlirtation,whichboundedhisviews;butintriumphingoverthediscretionwhich,thoughbeginninginanger,mighthavesavedthemboth,hehadputhimselfinthepoweroffeelingsonhersidemorestrongthanhehadsupposed.
