           ThiswasagreatdealbetterthantohavetotakeupthepentoacquaintherwithalltheparticularsoftheGrants’intendedjourney,forthepresentintelligencewasofanaturetopromiseoccupationforthepenformanydaystocome,beingnolessthanthedangerousillnessofhereldestson,ofwhichtheyhadreceivednoticebyexpressafewhoursbefore.
