           Shewassorry,reallysorry;andyetinspiteofthisandthetwoorthreeotherthingswhichshewishedhehadnotsaid,shethoughthimaltogetherimprovedsinceshehadseenhim;hewasmuchmoregentle,obliging,andattentivetootherpeople’sfeelingsthanhehadeverbeenatMansfield;shehadneverseenhimsoagreeable—sonearbeingagreeable;hisbehaviourtoherfathercouldnotoffend,andtherewassomethingparticularlykindandproperinthenoticehetookofSusan.Hewasdecidedlyimproved.Shewishedthenextdayover,shewishedhehadcomeonlyforoneday;butitwasnotsoverybadasshewouldhaveexpected:thepleasureoftalkingofMansfieldwassoverygreat!
