           “IfIhadknownyouweregoingout,IshouldhavegotyoujusttogoasfarasmyhousewithsomeordersforNanny,”saidshe,“whichIhavesince,tomyverygreatinconvenience,beenobligedtogoandcarrymyself.Icouldveryillsparethetime,andyoumighthavesavedmethetrouble,ifyouwouldonlyhavebeensogoodastoletusknowyouweregoingout.Itwouldhavemadenodifferencetoyou,Isuppose,whetheryouhadwalkedintheshrubberyorgonetomyhouse.
