           SirThomasmeanttobegivingMr.Rushworth’sopinioninbetterwordsthanhecouldfindhimself.HewasawarethathemustnotexpectageniusinMr.Rushworth;butasawell-judging,steadyyoungman,withbetternotionsthanhiselocutionwoulddojusticeto,heintendedtovaluehimveryhighly.Itwasimpossibleformanyoftheothersnottosmile.Mr.Rushworthhardlyknewwhattodowithsomuchmeaning;butbylooking,ashereallyfelt,mostexceedinglypleasedwithSirThomas’sgoodopinion,andsayingscarcelyanything,hedidhisbesttowardspreservingthatgoodopinionalittlelonger.
