           Afewstepsfartherbroughtthemoutatthebottomoftheverywalktheyhadbeentalkingof;andstandingback,wellshadedandsheltered,andlookingoveraha-haintothepark,wasacomfortable-sizedbench,onwhichtheyallsatdown.

           “Iamafraidyouareverytired,Fanny,”saidEdmund,observingher;“whywouldnotyouspeaksooner?Thiswillbeabadday’samusementforyouifyouaretobeknockedup.Everysortofexercisefatigueshersosoon,MissCrawford,exceptriding.”

           “Howabominableinyou,then,toletmeengrossherhorseasIdidalllastweek!Iamashamedofyouandofmyself,butitshallneverhappenagain.”

           “Yourattentivenessandconsiderationmakesmemoresensibleofmyownneglect.Fanny’sinterestseemsinsaferhandswithyouthanwithme.
