           Rosashookherhead,afterwhichfollowedapause.

           “Well,”Corneliusatlastbrokethesilence,“well,Rosa,everythingchangesintherealmofnature;theflowersofspringaresucceededbyotherflowers;andthebees,whichsotenderlycaressedthevioletsandthewall-flowers,willflutterwithjustasmuchloveaboutthehoney-suckles,therose,thejessamine,andthecarnation.”
