“Hewasseatedinwhatwasrelativelyablazeofincandescentblue.This,andthedarknessabouthimgavehimaneffectoffloatinginablue-blackvoid.Heseemedasmall,self-luminouscloudatfirst,broodingonhissombrethrone;hisbraincasemusthavemeasuredmanyyardsindiameter.ForsomereasonthatIcannotfathomanumberofbluesearch-lightsradiatedfrombehindthethroneonwhichhesat,andimmediatelyencirclinghimwasahalo.Abouthim,andlittleandindistinctinthisglow,anumberofbody-servantssustainedandsupportedhim,andovershadowedandstandinginahugesemicirclebeneathhimwerehisintellectualsubordinates,hisremembrancersandcomputatorsandsearchersandservants,andallthedistinguishedinsectsofthecourtofthemoon.
