           Mr.Bounderby,veryredanduncomfortable,resumed:

           ‘Thensupposeyoutry,ma’am,’saidBounderby,layinganenvelopewithachequeinitinherlittlebasket.‘Youcantakeyourowntimeforgoing,ma’am;butperhapsinthemeanwhile,itwillbemoreagreeabletoaladyofyourpowersofmind,toeathermealsbyherself,andnottobeintrudedupon.
