Beingtheninapleasantframeofmind(fromwhichIinferthatpoisoningisnotalwaysdisagreeableinsomestagesoftheprocess),Iresolvedtogototheplay.ItwasCoventGardenTheatrethatIchose;andthere,fromthebackofacentrebox,IsawJuliusCaesarandthenewPantomime.TohaveallthosenobleRomansalivebeforeme,andwalkinginandoutformyentertainment,insteadofbeingthesterntaskmasterstheyhadbeenatschool,wasamostnovelanddelightfuleffect.
