           Now,whenthisstrangecircumstancewasmadeknownaft,thecarpenterwasatoncecommandedtodoQueequeg’sbidding,whateveritmightinclude.Therewassomeheathenish,coffin-coloredoldlumberaboard,which,uponalongpreviousvoyage,hadbeencutfromtheaboriginalgrovesoftheLackadayislands,andfromthesedarkplanksthecoffinwasrecommendedtobemade.
