           Mr.Pickwickacknowledgedthecomplimentwhichthesuppositionimplied,buthadtheself-denialtorepudiateit,notwithstanding;andtakingadvantageofamoment’ssilenceonthepartoftheM.C.,beggedtointroducehisfriends,Mr.Tupman,Mr.Winkle,andMr.Snodgrass.AnintroductionwhichoverwhelmedtheM.C.withdelightandhonour.
