           ‘Mr.Pickwick’sservant!’saidMrs.Bardell,turningpale.

           ‘Blessmysoul!’saidMrs.Cluppins.

           ‘Well,Iralywouldnotha’believedit,unlessIhadha’happenedtoha’beenhere!’saidMrs.Sanders.

           Mrs.Bardellfeltitpropertobeagitated;andasnoneofthethreeexactlyknewwhetherunderexistingcircumstances,anycommunication,otherwisethanthroughDodson&Fogg,oughttobeheldwithMr.Pickwick’sservant,theywereallrathertakenbysurprise.Inthisstateofindecision,obviouslythefirstthingtobedone,wastothumptheboyforfindingMr.Welleratthedoor.Sohismotherthumpedhim,andhecriedmelodiously.
