           Incompliancewiththiscustomunquestionablyabadonewesubjoinafewbiographicalwords,inrelationtothepartyatMr.Pickwick’sassembled.

           Mr.andMrs.Winkle,beingfullyreceivedintofavourbytheoldgentleman,wereshortlyafterwardsinstalledinanewly–builthouse,nothalfamilefromMr.Pickwick’s.Mr.Winkle,beingengagedinthecityasagentortowncorrespondentofhisfather,exchangedhisoldcostumefortheordinarydressofEnglishmen,andpresentedalltheexternalappearanceofacivilisedChristianeverafterwards.

           Mr.andMrs.SnodgrasssettledatDingleyDell,wheretheypurchasedandcultivatedasmallfarm,moreforoccupationthanprofit.Mr.Snodgrass,beingoccasionallyabstractedandmelancholy,istothisdayreputedagreatpoetamonghisfriendsandacquaintance,althoughwedonotfindthathehaseverwrittenanythingtoencouragethebelief.Therearemanycelebratedcharacters,literary,philosophical,andotherwise,whoholdahighreputationonasimilartenure.
