           Mr.Pickwick,perceivingthattherewassomeembarrassmentontheoldgentleman’spart,affectedtobeengagedincuttingtheleavesofabookthatlaybesidehim,andwaitedpatientlyuntilMr.Wellershouldarriveattheobjectofhisvisit.

           ‘Ineverseesichaaggrawatin’boyasyouare,Samivel,’saidMr.Weller,lookingindignantlyathisson;‘neverinallmyborndays.’

           ‘Whatishedoing,Mr.Weller?’inquiredMr.Pickwick.
