AllthiswasmostembarrassingtoMr.Pickwick,themoreespeciallyasMr.Winkle,senior,evincedpalpableastonishmentattheeccentric—nottosayextraordinary—behaviourofhistwocompanions.Tobringthemattertoanissueatonce,hedrewaletterfromhispocket,andpresentingittoMr.Winkle,senior,said—
