‘Perker,’saidMr.Pickwick,beckoningoneyoungmantowardshim,‘thisisMr.Jingle,whomIspoketoyouabout.’
‘Verygood,mydearSir,’repliedPerker,lookinghardatJingle.‘Youwillseemeagain,youngman,to-morrow.Ihopeyoumaylivetorememberandfeeldeeply,whatIshallhavetocommunicate,Sir.’
Jinglebowedrespectfully,trembledverymuchashetookMr.Pickwick’sprofferedhand,andwithdrew.
