ThenextdayImadeanothervoyage. Andnow,havingplunderedtheshipofwhatwasportableandfittohandout,Ibeganwiththecables; andcuttingthegreatcableintopieces,suchasIcouldmove,Igottwocablesandahawseronshore,withalltheiron-workIcouldget; andhavingcutdownthespritsail-yard,andthemizzen-yard,andeverythingIcouldtomakealargeraft,Iloadeditwithallthoseheavygoods,andcameaway. Butmygoodluckbegannowtoleaveme; forthisraftwassounwieldy,andsooverladen,thatafterIwasenteredthelittlecovewhereIhadlandedtherestofmygoods,notbeingabletoguideitsohandilyasIdidtheother,itoverset,and,threwmeandallmycargointothewater. Asformyself,itwasnogreatharm,forIwasneartheshore;butastomycargo,itwasgreatpartofitlost,especiallytheiron,whichIexpectedwouldhavebeengreatusetome. However,whenthetidewasoutIgotmostofthepiecesofcableashore,andsomeoftheiron,thoughwithinfinitelabor; forIwasfaintodipforitintothewater,aworkwhichfatiguedmeverymuch.
