Iimmediatelycutthetwistedflagsorrushes,whichtheyhadboundhimwith,andwouldhavehelpedhimup; buthecouldnotstandorspeak,butgroanedmostpiteously,believing,itseems,stillthathewasonlyunboundinordertobekilled.
WhenFridaycametohim,Ibadehimspeaktohim,andtellhimofhisdeliverance;andpullingoutmybottle,madehimgivethepoorwretchadram; which,withthenewsofhisbeingdelivered,revivedhim,andhesatupintheboat. ButwhenFridaycametohearhimspeak,andlookinhisface,itwouldhavemovedanyonetotearstohaveseenhowFridaykissedhim,embracedhim,huggedhim,cried,laughed,hallooed,jumpedabout,danced,sung; thencriedagain,wrunghishands,beathisownfaceandhead,andthensungandjumpedaboutagain,likeadistractedcreature. ItwasagoodwhilebeforeIcouldmakehimspeaktome,ortellmewhatwasthematter;butwhenhecamealittletohimself,hetoldmethatitwashisfather.
