Butnosoonerweremyeyesopen,butIsawmyPollsittingonthetopofthehedge,andimmediatelyknewthatitwashethatspoketome; forjustinsuchbemoaninglanguageIhadusedtotalktohim,andteachhim; andhehadlearneditsoperfectIy,thathewouldsituponmyfinger,andlayhisbillclosetomyface,andcry, "PoorRobin.Crusoe! Whereareyou? Wherehaveyoubeen? Howcomeyouhere?" andsuchthingsasIhadtaughthim.
