Potterstartedonatrotthatquicklyincreasedtoarun. Thehalf-breedstoodlookingafterhim. Hemuttered:
"Ifhe’sasmuchstunnedwiththelickandfuddledwiththerumashehadthelookofbeing,hewon’tthinkoftheknifetillhe’sgonesofarhe’llbeafraidtocomebackafterittosuchaplacebyhimself—chicken-heart!"
