           ThisAyrtonresolvedtolearnatanycost,andasanhourafterhisarrivalthevociferationshadbeguntodieaway,andasalargenumberoftheconvictswerealreadyburiedinadrunkensleep,Ayrtondidnothesitatetoventureontothe"Speedy’s"deck,whichtheextinguishedlanternsnowleftintotaldarkness.
