           WhentheBritonsheardthis,theyresolvedtosendforthestones,andtomakewaruponthepeopleofIrelandiftheyofferedtowithholdthem.So,whentheyhadchosenUthertheking’sbrotherfortheirchief,theysetsail,tothenumberof15,000men,andcametoIreland.ThereGillomanius,theking,withstoodthemfiercely,andnottillafteragreatbattlecouldtheyapproachtheGiants’Dance,thesightofwhichfilledthemwithjoyandadmiration.Butwhentheysoughttomovethestones,thestrengthofallthearmywasinvain,untilMerlin,laughingattheirfailures,contrivedmachinesofwondrouscunning,whichtookthemdownwithease,andplacedthemintheships.
