Itwas,ofcourse,tenantedbyanidealmaster,dark,proud,andmelancholy;butoddlyenough,GilbertBlythepersistedinhangingabouttoo,helpingherarrangepictures,layoutgardens,andaccomplishsundryothertaskswhichaproudandmelancholyheroevidentlyconsideredbeneathhisdignity.AnnetriedtobanishGilbert’simagefromhercastleinSpainbut,somehow,hewentonbeingthere,soAnne,beinginahurry,gaveuptheattemptandpursuedheraerialarchitecturewithsuchsuccessthather“homeo’dreams”wasbuiltandfurnishedbeforeDianaspokeagain.
