Therewasonlyonethingthatgrievedhim.HehaddiscoveredanewandsecretmethodoftransformationsthatwasunknowntoanyotherSorcerer.GlindatheGooddidnotknowit,nordidthelittleWizardofOz,norDr.PiptnoroldMombi,noranyoneelsewhodealtinmagicarts.ItwasBiniAru’sownsecret.Byitsmeans,itwasthesimplestthingintheworldtotransformanyoneintobeast,birdorfish,oranythingelse,andbackagain,onceyouknowhowtopronouncethemysticalword:"Pyrzqxgl."
BiniAruhadusedthissecretmanytimes,butnottocauseevilorsufferingtoothers.Whenhehadwanderedfarfromhomeandwashungry,hewouldsay:"Iwanttobecomeacow—Pyrzqxgl!"Inaninstanthewouldbeacow,andthenhewouldeatgrassandsatisfyhishunger.AllbeastsandbirdscantalkintheLandofOz,sowhenthecowwasnolongerhungry,itwouldsay:"IwanttobeBiniAruagain:Pyrzqxgl!"andthemagicword,properlypronounced,wouldinstantlyrestorehimtohisproperform.
Now,ofcourse,IwouldnotdaretowritedownthismagicwordsoplainlyifIthoughtmyreaderswouldpronounceitproperlyandsobeabletotransformthemselvesandothers,butitisafactthatnooneinalltheworldexceptBiniAru,hadever(uptothetimethisstorybegins)beenabletopronounce"Pyrzqxgl!"therightway,soIthinkitissafetogiveittoyou.Itmightbewell,however,inreadingthisstoryaloud,tobecarefulnottopronouncePyrzqxgltheproperway,andthusavoidalldangerofthesecretbeingabletoworkmischief.
