           WhenValeriusandhiswifewenttosettleinFrance,theytookDaaeandChristinewiththem."Mamma"ValeriustreatedChristineasherdaughter.AsforDaae,hebegantopineawaywithhomesickness.HeneverwentoutofdoorsinParis,butlivedinasortofdreamwhichhekeptupwithhisviolin.
