           Withthewallsofthekitchenendedalltheantiquityoftheabbey;thefourthsideofthequadranglehaving,onaccountofitsdecayingstate,beenremovedbythegeneral’sfather,andthepresenterectedinitsplace.Allthatwasvenerableceasedhere.Thenewbuildingwasnotonlynew,butdeclareditselftobeso;intendedonlyforoffices,andenclosedbehindbystable-yards,nouniformityofarchitecturehadbeenthoughtnecessary.
