Shehadsunkbeneaththeweightofanexcessivegrief. Herdroopingformandhollowcheekstooplainlyindicatedthatshehadwellnighreachedtheendofherwearyroad.
Ford’soverseeronthisplantation,andwhohadtheexclusivechargeofit,wasaMr.Chapin,akindly-disposedman,andanativeofPennsylvania.
