“He’sBenWeatherstaff’s,butIthinkheknowsmealittle,”answeredMary.
“Aye,heknowsthee,”saidDickoninhislowvoiceagain.“An’helikesthee.He’stooktheeon.He’lltellmeallabouttheeinaminute.”
HemovedquiteclosetothebushwiththeslowmovementMaryhadnoticedbefore,andthenhemadeasoundalmostliketherobin’sowntwitter.Therobinlistenedafewseconds,intently,andthenansweredquiteasifhewerereplyingtoaquestion.
“Aye,he’safriendo’yours,”chuckledDickon.
