Theredskinsdisappearastheyhavecomelikeshadows,andsoontheirplaceistakenbythebeasts,agreatandmotleyprocession:lions,tigers,bears,andtheinnumerablesmallersavagethingsthatfleefromthem,foreverykindofbeast,and,moreparticularly;alltheman-eaters,livecheekbyjowlonthefavouredisland.Theirtonguesarehangingout,theyarehungryto-night.
