Boxtelhadnotthegoodfortuneofbeingrich,likeVanBaerle.Hehadtherefore,withgreatcareandpatience,andbydintofstrenuousexertions,laidoutnearhishouseatDortagardenfitforthecultureofhischerishedflower;hehadmixedthesoilaccordingtothemostapprovedprescriptions,andgiventohishotbedsjustasmuchheatandfreshairasthestrictestrulesofhorticultureexact.
