           “Letusemployitevenbetter,”saidRosa,smiling.“Teachmetoreadandwrite.Ishallmakethebestofyourlessons,believeme;and,inthisway,weshallneverbeseparatedanymore,exceptbyourownwill.”

           “Oh,then,wehaveaneternitybeforeus,”saidCornelius.

           Rosasmiled,andquietlyshruggedhershoulders.
