IsoondiscoveredthatwritingaplaywasalongerbusinessthanIhadsupposed;atfirstIhadreckonedtendaysforit,anditwastohaveapied-à-terrewhileitwasinhandthatIcametoLympne.Ireckonedmyselfluckyingettingthatlittlebungalow.Igotitonathreeyears’agreement.Iputinafewsticksoffurniture,andwhiletheplaywasinhandIdidmyowncooking.MycookingwouldhaveshockedMrs.Bond.Andyet,youknow,ithadflavour.
