           ‘Yes,alittlebutnotonlandandnotwithneedlesAlicewasbeginningtosay,whensuddenlytheneedlesturnedintooarsinherhands,andshefoundtheywereinalittleboat,glidingalongbetweenbanks:sotherewasnothingforitbuttodoherbest.

           ‘Feather!’criedtheSheep,asshetookupanotherpairofneedles.

           Thisdidn’tsoundlikearemarkthatneededanyanswer,soAlicesaidnothing,butpulledaway.Therewassomethingveryqueeraboutthewater,shethought,aseverynowandthentheoarsgotfastinit,andwouldhardlycomeoutagain.

           ‘Feather!Feather!’theSheepcriedagain,takingmoreneedles.‘You’llbecatchingacrabdirectly.

           ‘Adearlittlecrab!’thoughtAlice.‘Ishouldlikethat.

           ‘Didn’tyouhearmesay"Feather"?’theSheepcriedangrily,takingupquiteabunchofneedles.

           ‘IndeedIdid,’saidAlice:‘you’vesaiditveryoftenandveryloud.Please,wherearethecrabs?’

           ‘Inthewater,ofcourse!’saidtheSheep,stickingsomeoftheneedlesintoherhair,asherhandswerefull.
