           ThentheQueenwasshocked,andturnedyellowandgreenwithenvy. Fromthathour,whenevershelookedatSnow-white,herheartheavedinherbreast,shehatedthegirlsomuch. 

           Andenvyandpridegrewhigherandhigherinherheartlikeaweed,sothatshehadnopeacedayornight. Shecalledahuntsman,andsaid, "Takethechildawayintotheforest;Iwillnolongerhaveherinmysight. Killher,andbringmebackherheartasatoken. "Thehuntsmanobeyed,andtookheraway;butwhenhehaddrawnhisknife,andwasabouttopierceSnow-white’sinnocentheart,shebegantoweep,andsaid, "Ahdearhuntsman,leavememylife! Iwillrunawayintothewildforest,andnevercomehomeagain." 

           Andasshewassobeautifulthehuntsmanhadpityonherandsaid, "Runaway,then,youpoorchild." "Thewildbeastswillsoonhavedevouredyou,"thoughthe, andyetitseemedasifastonehadbeenrolledfromhisheartsinceitwasnolongerneedfulforhimtokillher. Andasayoungboarjustthencamerunningbyhestabbedit,andcutoutitsheartandtookittotheQueenasproofthatthechildwasdead. Thecookhadtosaltthis,andthewickedQueenateit,andthoughtshehadeatentheheartofSnow-white.
